Collection: Mala Beads

What are Mala Beads? Mala Beads are traditionally used by Hindus and Buddhists in prayer and as a meditation aid, otherwise known as garlands or prayer beads. There are 108 beads on the Japa Mala and one "guru" bead which the other beads surround. The number 108 is a sacred number as it means spiritual completion.

How to use Mala Beads: You don't have to follow a religion to use Mala Beads - they are commonly used in the west as a meditation aid and in yoga. For use in meditation simply choose a mantra or affirmation that you want to focus on and repeat it, each time pushing a bead away until you have completed all 108.  All our Mala Beads are made from high quality gem stones and are roughly 60 - 80cm in length.
